my one true love

it seems that I choose gardening over studio, over cleaning, over thinking about anything. this is the way for me. i will talk about the tiny tomatoes at length. I will sweep and pull weeds and stare at the moon.

i have to go to south dakota on thursday. i am going to miss the premier of hampaw. it is killing me.

hi toods and corns - i am back from the dakotas. saw 100's of buffalo and their babies. really amazing. it is super beautiful and super tacky out there. special combo.

corny, the bush with the pink flowers is just and old rose bush that has gone wild or something. we need to cut it back. it was there when we bought the house. it's thorny. my astilbe are blooming right now. will take a few shots to share. they are like pink wizard cones.

WB, FB. Did you snack on one of them buffalos in 'dakotee? They are delish. Did you visit Wind Cave, or gamble in Deadwood? It's like a flashback to car-vacationing culture of the 50s eh? The badlands are the badassest of it all though.

yes toods, it was a flashback to a family vacation i took when I was maybe 10. we didn't make it to the badlands - not enough time - and we saw a crappy cave instead of wind or jewel also because of lack of time. with a wedding and family and the time it takes to get anywhere driving up and down the hills we sort of gave up.
