updates from voiddess

1. tasty treat = queen's hideaway in greenpoint. delicious. go there. bestest meal in a long while. fried oysters, hushpuppies, trout with some pickly jalapeno something something. peanut butter pie (AWESOME), biegnets. go.
2. live, unknown rap. somehow saturday night found me in the midst of varied rap performers. there was this super horrible but almost so bad it's good white dude called like super genius or something. whoa. my eyebrows are scrunching up thinking about it. there were a lot of yelling rappers. i don't know what the hell was going on. it was weird and dark. i took off my shoes & wig.
3. NEW!!! = avoidance of duties all of the time. this is my new calling - no clean, no art making or art looking, no thinking. only a show called property ladder where I get to watch a zillion commercials while waiting for the flip to go over budget.
4. we received a ticket from the sanitation police for a "dirty area". no joke. $100. those fucking flyers that they hang on your door got loose and made dirty all over our front area with the litter from the school. my question is: what about the true abomination next door? the mass grave/pit/pool ? do they get a ticket? no fair.

i am getting to be thankful for work. this is sad but true. also turning into professional time waster.

this is a wrongness, fb! are you sure the neighbors didn't sneak over and stick that thing on your door in hopes that you'd pay it for them? or maybe the backyard pit is full of sanitation squad bodies...

I love Queens Hideaway!Glad to hear it is still tasty. I went a couple of times when it first opened and loved it--especially the pies.

i know. WE got a ticket. ironic - when my efforts also got the 'hood a whole bunch of new garbage cans. lame. lame i say. why don't they ticket the dog owners who let their dogs crap all over the park sidewalk. that would be justified. the wind i cannot control.

this morning on the train I spotted a group of women and one dude on the train. they sat down and immediately pulled out their large sketch pads and began to draw from life - city scenes, you know, capturing the essence of the morning commute in the big apple. the older woman, whom i assume is their "teacher," was wearing a purple beret - very much off to one side and a large indian blanket coat.

then i walked by a small man outside with one of those large microphone head pieces like janet jackson on stage - but bigger.

now i am at new beige with - - guess what? - - nothing to do. who's got a project for me?

i am going to curate a blart show today. the question is what? i am thinking the theme will be toad holler.

FB, I may post today a littany of beige complaints OR a wacky letter. I must say you have inspired me.
While reading your description of the Subway Art Soire, halfway through I swear I predicted a purple article of clothing would be involved.

talk about waisting time. I'm keeping "office hours" as was requested by management the Upstate Institutional. I have to wake up two hours earlier to drive my ass up here only to sit in my office all morning alone, no clients visiting... total waste of time.

corny NO. why? why? i have been sitting here for days as the tumbleweeds roll past. i'm cracking up. as can clearly be seen by my last post.

Ugh, Corns that is an outrage. You got some spray paint?
