Hey, question, did those garbage fuckers clean up there mess? The house down the street?

fairy butler said...

FB it is okay to take a couple of days of adjustment time. You are dedicated. You know when it's time to work. It's okay to say hi.

PS I don't know what's in Hobo's Delight but it sounds like something I would eat. . . often.

i dunno krix. hobo's delight is a euphemism that has meant, in reality, meals such as:

mac n' cheese (from box) and small frozen pizza
hot dogs and cheese and crackers
soup from can/box
frozen breakfast burritos
several small bits of leftovers combined to create a buffet of sorts

not so great.

it can also mean nothing or popcorn or beer or popsicles or yogurt. many uses. now i must return to work. f.

okay, I was a little off in my imagination about the cuisine. In my mind it had cream of mushroom soup in it. It went in a casserole dish.

fairy butler said...

krix, i eat cream of mushroom soup plain, like normal soup sometimes. that's how much I love it. also, love a casserole from time to time. yum.

i was thinking casserole too krix. eff bee, why no blog? this is not right.

dubz said...

i meant why no blogging. sheesh. still sleepy.

Good lux, fairy! Were you really up and working at 6:30? In that case it's okay to blog a leetle bit, I am thinking. On account of it keeps you sane & connected with the world on some level.

hi, no sloths, i was NOT up at 6am or whatever. no. i got started regular time. but i just crashed my entire operating system and had to re-install the whole thing. good stuff for the first day. no helpdesk to call. but it is all right now. ok. back to werk.

ok. fuck. i suck as a designer. suck. i've been spending a little time over at csszengarden.com and it's blowing my mind.

i don't know how to make things look good just using the computer. sadness & defeat today. sorry. freaking out some.

fairy butler said...

seriously. i'm gonna cry now.

Anonymous said...

don't cry. take a break and when you come back, VOILA! it will all come together.

Hi FB. I am sorry you are having some trouble. But I saw some of your sites and think they are stunning. Just look at Judy Blume's site when you are having doubts.

I will miss you when you're in Iowa. Good luck getting everything cleaned up.
xx

fairy! you are experiencing transition-bumps; these will smooth out in time. You have sky-high standards for yourself, which is great, but can make for the crazy feelings sometimes. Slothy recommends: Margarita Deep Colonic with salt. I'll bet you can get that in Iowa, right? You will come back refreshed & ready for action.

fb, hope you are having fun with the corn huskers!

Do not worry about the design stuff. Sloth is right. You set the high standards and you are too worried. You are asking yourself to come off the starting block at expert level. Unless you've been secretly absorbing every little detail about web design that has been published or discussed, which is absolutely impossible, then you just need to do like everyone else is doing and learn from the programmers who do things that you like. Through that, as your technical expertise expands, you start doing your own new things, and then some little mini-fb will come to your site and say "DOH! how come I didn't think of that! That's excellent." The web stuff. . .it's constantly changing. Constantly. There are some people who JUST work on CSS stuff. Some who ONLY work on javascript, some who only work flash, or windows media player, etc. Anyway, they develop a level of expertise that's impossible to keep up with unless you are doing the same thing. So don't get discouraged by not feeling up to speed with csszengarden. Soon you will have your own FB zen garden that kicks the ass of any other zen garden. That is not so zen like I guess but you get my drift. sorry this post is so long.
