I don't know which is more beautiful...the flowers or the ham. FB, it seems like only yesterday you posted all those glorious flowers from your garden.

totally, bb, this hardly covers the abominations but I felt going higher was too aggressive - too crazy. 6 feet is the standard. they installed it so the good side faces in to use, which is technically not the way it should be, but I am glad they did. everyone seems ok with it so far.

i'm tired.

any word on your fence sit bb? want this guy's number? the turnaround time was crazy fast from estimate to the doing.

fairy butler said...

they trampled some of my plants though.

FB, look at you new oasis! cheers!

Anonymous said...

Oh the fence! I forgot.

fairy butler said...

i am wanting more ham.

fairy butler said...

will i ever work in the studio again? this is today's question.

Anonymous said...

Granted, that ham was dead sexy, but that fence...wow.

Nice fucking fence.

fairy butler said...

bb, i am so annoyed that I will miss your opening!! I will go and see when i return from mexico.

fairy butler said...

no cinco de mayo, just 4/5 days in akumal. time for escape.

Congrats bb and mrs. bb.

FB (so many bs) so glad you will be getting away from it all.

fairy butler said...

i feel vaguely guilty for going away.. i dunno. but we never go anywhere except iowa i swear.

Anonymous said...

Why? You deserve a vacation. If I could take one right now, I would. I am hoping to get away this summer.

I was thinking of going to Argentina if I sell a relic or two.

fairy butler said...

argentina - sweet. i hope you sell a bunch!

re: my guilties. i was raised by such fiscally conservative parents that sometimes i have a hard time. mind you, I AM STILL GOING, but I wonder, "gosh, should i be saving this money instead?" you know, since i hate the beige so much, etc. never make the relics lately it seems.

it will all be fine.

fairy butler said...

since the buttweaver paid me the monies recently i feel less guilty.

fairy butler said...

there you go arthur.

you should visit ethermeats.blogspot.com (pd's new blog) good query letters today.

buttweaver, noodles to that fb! NICE FENCE, by the way. Makes for a little slice-o'-heaven oasis-type pod of outdoors.

I have the same guilt about "extravagant" vacations; there's always a pause before "that sounds fun" from the maternal units on both sides. Makes for the crazy rage feelings, and adds fuel to the anxiety that made it necessary to get the hell away from everything in the first place...

fairy butler said...

hi sloth!

i always wonder what is normal you know? re: vacations and such. a small getaway seems necessary for sanity in this city, but then i wonder if i am just perpetuating a cycle of making money to spend? whatever, right?

my parents NEVER went anywhere - still never go anywhere. seems like a waste to me.

fairy butler said...

they totally have the means to go places and go out to eat etc but they don't much. more now than before i guess but ? arthur and I sometimes discuss this thing about new york. if you are going to live here you need to participate (spend money doing fun stuff that is only here) and get away. so it just costs ya, but it fun.

beautiful fence and flowers FB! I saw a beautiful yard a couple weeks back with a row of bamboo against the fence. that may be the good solution to the dust breeze. The only problem with Bamboo is it takes root and is very difficult to get rid of once it's planted. BUT it was beautiful! VERY.

Oh I know FB. My mom is hilarious about vacations. The last two trips I took, she knew nothing about. When she called on my cell I either did not answer or rushed her off the phone before the big wave hit.
But I would say "hey mom I am going to ______"
and she will say: "what a waste. you have to worry me like that." OR
"you have nothing better to do with your money."

fairy butler said...

thanks hams, you and damian will have to come over for BBQ very soon!! we are going to buy a dead bamboo screen thingy i think for the chain link. i'm afraid to plant live. i am so sick of invasive plants -stupid morning glories choking everything etc. only nice plants can play in the yard here on out. the mint is kept in the isolation chamber - pot.

fairy butler said...

pd, gosh. does she want you to save money by eating ramen and tap water every night too? you are correct to keep the plans undercover me thinks.

Anonymous said...

No, she taught me the importance of good food!
FB, will you be putting up the fly I-V this year?

Anonymous said...

If I go out of the country--it is hard not to tell her.

fairy butler said...

that is good about the food pd. good food, of course, you come from l'italia!!

yes, fly iv. not needed yet, but probably soon.it was really awful last year.

fairy butler said...

15 more minutes. cannot concentrate on beige work.

Anonymous said...

what?! your fence is up already! that is truly amazing. i met with some guy this morning for like two hours only to find he is way too expensive. someone else is coming today at 6:30.

fairy butler said...

gina, i will email you the d's about the fence tonight....

FB, good for you and your vakay! Minerva and I went down that way this time last year and it was the BEST!

I'm trying to talk her into this weird eco-vacation to huts in Costa Rica but it might be a little to jungle-y for me. spiders. snakes. we may just end up at some tourist trap in Jamaica getting ripped off instead.

Anonymous said...

for example:
http://www.almondsandcorals.com/photos/21.html

a picture from their website. I can almost see the creepy crawling things making their way toward my hut.

Anonymous said...

creepy crawlies making their way toward one's hut sounds like a proper vakay to me. isn't that the kind of thing one does while away from home?

hello, fb. i'm visiting your blog. nice fence. quelles fleures aussi.

Anonymous said...

oops. ma francaise n'existe pas! FLEURS.

fairy butler said...

hi ww,

je nais parle pas le francaise, se vrai! that is pretty much it for french for moi. the flowers say hello back. finally the visage out my home is not so 7th circle of hell. atrocities are still visible but hidden on the lower decks.

krix, go to eco place! fun fun fun!

Anonymous said...

I may have to breakup with Minerva's vacation plans. I am feeling like we are growing apart.

I may go solo eco-touristy or to Florence to view relics. Never been. Been talking about it for awhile. I do not mind to travel solo too much. Meet more people that way.

I loved this hotel in Florence:

/home_ing.asp

Rent a car and drive to Sienna and Tuscanny too!

We stayed in Radda in Chianti. super-cute small walled town on a hill overlooking vineyards and olive trees...big fields of lavendar. Navagate the tiny roads in your tiny car sampling grappas and delicious high fat sadnwiches!

Krix. I travel solo alot and have a pretty good time of it. Very freeing. Florence is great, but this time of year it is overrun with tourists and the Uffizi lines are about 4 hours long. I am dying to go to southern Italy.

fairy butler said...

italy is the BEST! but maybe fall is a better time - when it is less insane. I love Venice - although I have only been one time in the dead of winter. it is magical there.

arthur and I talk of a trip to tuscany only - traveling through the little towns but we have been unwilling to commit to it. too expensive with the dollar sucking like it is.

Anonymous said...

I am thinking Italy in the Fall as well. We are in the middle of planning a road trip to South Carolina in June for a wedding which is proving to be more cumbersome than I expected.
