My next dinner party

Sloth got me thinking about vulcans today, their pain belts, their mating ritual dance, their mind melds and death grip/pinches to the neck. Dr. Spock kicks Data's ass any day, right? My mom used to give me my afternoon bottle to Star Trek and to honor that I was thinking of a dinner party with special guests. Hey, what's under this lasagne?! Oh just "the women of star trek."

I will serve the appetizers, sausages sliced very thinly, goat's cheese and such on this one:

The fluff salad* (it's delicious spock food) really will be served on this one. I will make extra and pile it high. then when we have had our fill we will see our little friend peeking out - unsmiling but wise. oh spock. you're just a kook!

*fluff salad: true ingredients are lime jello, 7-up brought to a boil, cream cheese, canned pineapples and cool whip. Truly delectable

i wonder if there is a future in plate art, china plate portraits. it would totally go over in chelsea forest i think. but i don't know if they'd go for the spocks - that might be too much.

can you tell how unbelievable bored i am here?

how about a spock potluck? I will bring the fluff salad. hotdogs would go nicely with the fluff. my only rule is no squeeze cheese in any form.

William Shatner is my new/old hero. Have you seen him on Boston Legal? Genius.

I heart the Shatner. he is my hero too.

was it shatner or leonard nimoy who coverded lucy in the sky with diamonds? or maybe they both did?

honestly, shatner's cover of mr tambourine man is my favorite for that song.

Remember when he hosted SNL, and did that Star Trek convention skit... "have you ever even kissed a girl??" & the TJ Hooker bit where he admires his own ass in the mirror. Love.

Hi FB. I love the musical stylings of both Nimoy and Shatner. I am ready for any party you want to throw and will bring the most disgusting food I can imagine that will still be edible.

Ps - are you going to the Monya Rowe opening tomorrow eve?

fairy butler said...

monya rowe opening is tonight -thursday, yes? I know, i thought about going but I think I am going to the studio tonight instead. I saw that Eric is in that show and i should go to support - but I am going to an opening tomorrow night and there are only so many i can attend or something. Poor arthur - I feel like I am constantly dragging him around to all this stuff.
