freelancing fucking sucks

this just in: I AM SICK OF WORKING FOR FREE

i can't take it anymore. I want out. Just send me to a shithole beige and put me on the clock. seriously. i'm over it. the amount of time I spend emailing about projects, UGH. so not worth it - and the stress of being in charge? forget it. I going to start saying no to things. I just want to go to a job and leave a job. blame it on the boss, etc.

hates.

ep, if you are reading this, you are fine. i like working for you.

in fact this ranting is not about any one thing, it's just this pile up of open-ended projects and non-structure. the fb no like messes. fb likes order and decision-making and no changing of minds. fb only like working with set plans, or mostly set plans. fb needs to be free. set me free.

i need a fluffly eagle's nest. alas, i am off to the shack.

also, how much do i HATE the people at pearl paint. it was a jerkoff showdown there. i almost got lippy with a 16 year girl who had to talk back to me.

i am trying not to drink before studio.

please. i want to work ON THE CLOCK. get paid to read the nytimes online on occassion, talk to co-workers on the way to the bathroom, blog for 15 minutes on company time. run errands.

i am working too hard now. It's been good for learning but I am reaching point of no more. Mark my words motherfuckers.

ok, i am totally blogging to myself but...

rant part 3. @ studio the aha music person was back listening to the same 6 songs on a tinny speaker system on repeat. songs:

the reflex, girls on film, assorted other duran duran.
followed by something by (i am guessing) the damned? (it's bad) followed by aha's take on me. that's when i really lose it. the sad part is it is not loud at all. it just irritates me even though I listen to headphones...

is it appropriate to go next door and tell this person that even though her music is not loud i find it incredibly annoying. like i might have to kill annoying.

that is all. beer time now.

FB, you kill me! If I never hear A-Ha ever again it will be too soon. I did discover that the song was in our creative director's iTunes as he is not saavy enough to keep his iTunes library off the corporate network. He doesn't seem to be the A-Ha type but I guess everyone has skeletons in their closets.

noise pollution at the studio is the worst. My next door neighbor on one side listens to Joni Mitchell all day. It could be worse -actually I'm not sure about that. On the other side is a friend of mine, he listens to "world music" but it's not so bad, just knowing him and likeing him makes it not as bad for some reason.

Whats the Album cover your doing? Thats so cool, congrats.

yeah, congrats on the cover fb! but after reading this post i realize that by all accounts i am terminally uncool, as i have a-ha on my itunes. i guess i might as well come clean about these, too: kansas, skynyrd, lightfoot, foreigner, aztec camera, corey hart, foghat, thin lizzy, and many many more. oh, and i like joni mitchell too. fuck it.

I am the uncoolest! I swear. If you guys can see my collection. Granted, I do have some pretty great stuff too. But FB, I think you should make your nieghbor a CD of Led Zep and such.

In other exciting news...Arthur sighting this morning on the E train. He was impersonating an annoying subway lurker. But I saw through the disguise to the suave and handsome Arthur!

that's funny pd. arthur can lurk. do not let him. was he angry seeming?

listen. about the tunes. honestly, i can put up with bad music, fine, but if it is THE SAME 6 BAD SONGS ON repeat, again and again. esp. songs that I have heard 200X already in this lifetime...that's the main problem. I would rather her listen to the radio any day. Luckily i left the shack today just as this person arrived. so less torment for moi.

i will see youse later....

Believe it or not, one of members of Aha has a kid in my wife's afterschool. She assures me that he is a total raving douchebag, as is the troll offspring that fell from his succubus mate's putrid birth canal.

So you no likee the freelancing? What you need to do is get a couple of stiff drinks in you and then watch Dr. Phil at 3pm. The drink will make you ornery and you'll yell at the TV, which we all know is awesome.

daiel! i have hated aha from the first time i ever saw that stupid animated video. that is very strange that a has him in class.

how are things - non-beiging it.. ?
