div tags can kiss my ass

i am in a quagmire of slow learning this week. whoever thinks that css for layout is soooo easy and great and better than the old ways of doing things can fuck off. one can look at examples, follow the instructions, understand the theoretical implications, yes, but then when one tries to do one seemingly simple thing well forget it. you want the image AND text to align at the bottom of the box, without positioning. well good luck. jesus. I am sure i will figure this very simple thing out in the next 8 hours.

It's funny, the simpler the problem, the more time it takes me to figure out. I am trying to obey the rules and not cheat with the code. the tempation to use other methods persists. i must not give in to the dark side.

FB. The title of your post made me laugh out loud and now all the code toads want to know what's so funny.

My favorite CSS wrestling match was with inheritance. I think I learned a lesson about it after 8 hours of struggle but it's kind of like childbirth in that the lesson has been long forgotten.

i know krix, the cascade & inheritance. ugh. and IE for Mac can also fuck off. I am trying to avoid hacks for right now. i wish i just had someone i could just ask. "why isn't it working?" rather than beating my head against the wall. but I will get it and this way it will probably stick in my thick head. i hope. i guess. i guess this is better than sitting @ the old beige and coding articles on impotence and scabies.

although no one is paying me. sigh. i have to get good at this fast. like in the next month or so.

i am taking friday off to go to the shack though. not that i like art or the art world anymore, but old habits die hard.

all types of computing and imaging and data entry can fuck off. lack of ergonomics at the werkplatz can fuck off.

Have you tried the shift key or the control key? Everytime I am stuck in photoshop I press the control key and it works.

FB! Wakey, wakey. I think Sara is funny in the reals and less so when she is filming self-conciously.
I am sitting here in complete silence--it is so zen.

i think todd barry was the winner. maybe sarah silverman second place. for me. hard to say. afterwards we went to this reception where the comics stand around and talk to people. it was way awkward, worse than art openings. unfortunately my winner was very odd in the real. gulping water and seeming very self concious. i kind of wished i didn't see that part.
