Arthur, my butler and I are back from a trip to the northern woodland realm and today I am feeling out of sorts sitting in my pen without a glass of wine, no swimming hole or badminton to look forward to. Much funs, much thistle climbing, MUCH GOAT'S MILK, much viewing of nature ways these last few days. There were several silvery orbs suspended in wire nets to watch and small fields of lavender and thyme. Amazing stars darting this way and that and enormous spider nests. Arthur and I slept in the house side car - a screen enclosed space close to the night nature ways. There were ducks that honked and bathed in a kid's pool. We listened to the classic rock radio in the car and imbibed the grasses of the hippie in honor of the Vermont Way. We toasted our friends new engagement and met some new magicians and whirlygiggers.
That said, my butler was asking to clean up the ramshackle house that was near ours. While ours was just solar-powered, this one had no electricity or plumbing and was occupied by a crazy crazy masseuse. My butler was also confused by the communal mindset of this state - compost brainwashing similarity liberal farmstand sandals white. It is ok though, just not for the FB. There was nowhere to go beneath the slabs and too much attention paid to fresh produce.

Kudos to G for finding the amazing solar abode! I fear that the debaucherous ways of Arthur and myself may have scared some unsuspecting whirlygiggers, but it is too late. I restrained myself from dork dancing but this sort of behavior seeped out in less obvious ways I fear.
i waveth a freak flag sparked with magic dusts.
FB sounds like a majorly fun and gifted time. I hope to commune with you in the woods one day, drink potions and push into holes. No offense. I am sure your company was entertaining and appreciated as usual.
i am very bad at badminton, but an able name game soothsayer, oddly. And yes, I can drink a bottle of wine by myself.
It could be worse FB, you could be like me and be just so plain and boring and speak of nothing but Steely Dan and Anita Baker. I am pin-pricked by blandness.
I can drink 4 bottles of moonshine by myself.
Fan, can I ask what has happened to the easy listening radio stations these days? Why is there no more air supply, Peaches and Herb, Third Dimension? Why is it only Sarah McLaughlin type music and Eric Clapton? No fun!!
FB I don't know. I lament this loss as well. What I miss is Bruce Hornsby and the Range, Bette Midler and Wilson Philips. Sigh...
Air Supply. Now that was soothing. And what about Christopher Cross? "Think of Laura, laugh, don't cry, I know she'd want it that way..."
A whirly-gigger purchased a bear log carving. we watched the dude saw it up. I found some special cube decorations and some new art. Macrame owl painting/string art, a kitten butterfly cross-stitch and an owl sculpture. yay.
I prefer canned produce to fresh.
Fan, do you recall a song about a horse that dies... on a mountaintop maybe? It's so good. CAn't remember more details... brain is like brillo pad.
There are always many good treats at country antique stores. I have found good owls in all media and Uncle Fritz recently bought a ceramic cowboy bottle with a removable head.
"a horse called ...."
No I don't recall that song. I would need more info. I am half tard myself.
Okay, It's "Wildfire" by Michael Murphy. Now there's an ez-listening classic that I bet is never played anymore.
The berries were awesome. I did not have to pick them.
Did you make a mess all over your face?
I mean since you did not pick them I assume you bit them right off the bush. That's what I do.
i just ate the ones that I found half rotten on the ground, and yes, it was a little messy. but less going in than out.
Hey FB! I missed reading your voice. Your weekend sounds as though it was very fun. I am listening to the classic rock station now, as my random 23 yr old co-worker is not here today.
What about "Sailing" by Christopher Cross?
yes, pd, "sailing" is a hallmark of ez-listening. "afternoon delight" is another. do you remember the little river band?
uhhhhhhh, I have a confession. I had a Little river Band Album when I was a tyke. Did you know they are from Australia, land of every toxic beast known to man? (LRB falls into this category too.)
"I know that it's time for a Cool Change."

you can go to their site and chat with other LRB fans about upcoming tours. What a great way to get a list of state fairs.
Krix, I probably watched their HBO concert special 10 times as a youngin. They were all wearing white 3-piece suits as I remember. I just looked at their current website. It is so fucking depressing even though they have always sucked. Spinal Tap.
the list of easy listenin' songs brings to mind the prolific band Mister Mister.
