who wants an ice cream bar? existence is futile and cringing like ants on a piece of decaying fruit. i am plagued by the thought that i am losing touch with this concept "art" or, what is it, "formal qualitites," or something. it is leading to a pink place, a place of spun sugar and high feelings. i worry about my utter refusal to struggle in the traditional sense with composition and such. i am over it, but perhaps this leads to stinkerville.

My building doesn't provide soap in the bathrooms, so diff pepole have been contributing liquid handsoap and writing "donated by #706" or whatevs on the bottle in sharpie so we all know what a kind soul they are. I just replaced the empty dispenser w/ a new one that has a sticker reading :

"Brought to you in part by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation"

meh I am the only one that finds it funny. :/

I think it's funny toodles!!!

FB, the bunny, she/he has such long, flowing head-hair. This disturbs the sloth. Yes, very much.

My sense, FB, is that you don't need to struggle in the traditional sense with composition and such, because you have internalized it by now, and even when yer bad, yer good, know what I mean? So no stinkerville for you, fb.

Oh I'm crying tears of joy for the little babies learning the robot moves. Sniff, sniff.

I'm with Sloth, compositionally speaking.

toods, I think you're funny. maybe next time you get the 'courtesy of #703 bottle' you can post a big "THANK YOU SO MUCH #703!!!" sign in the bathroom.

the concept 'art' is still baffling to me. i am turning into an outsider artist. i guess it is ok as I don't know how to do anything different.

In response to arthur^3:

I did indeed google to get the spelling right, but was inspired by said jingle burned into my brain because they underwrite a lot of PBS programming. I made sure use an "official looking font" as well.

Perhaps I should write a 1000 word statement, videotape people using it and sell it for $20k? Anyone want to represent me? :)

HI HAMS!!! how was the outback? please report.

FB, the spy thing is wrong. Do you have to turn in a log?(this last part has nothing to do with a huge bowel movement).

HAMS!

It was great!!!!!! We saw many animals and backcountry camped in the Badlands. It is so beautiful out there. bison and coyote. hot chocolate. I am trying to hold onto the feeling and keep the hambitch in the shadows.

hey I'm from 'dakotee!

sloth said...

Hammy! welcome home, ham paw. I am using a giant catapult to send you a mammoth bouquet of chocolates as a homecoming prezzie.

good fishin' and gun shootin' up in dakotee!

Roadside attractions too!

Anonymous said...

hi! I love my bouquet of chocolates SLothy!!!

The tuber is back at it with me. She got in my face already and told me I shouldn't do my job the way I am supposed to do it. I assured her that I hate my job much more than she hates my job. Oh well. Why did you leave the dakota toods? Why?

fairy butler said...

hp, did you see buffalos?

Anonymous said...

we saw TONS of buffalo FB! and we got stuck in two buffalo traffic jams. The rangers had to come in and try to herd them with their trucks and then finally they blew a big horn and the buffalo started charging. But they didn't charge off the road. They ran off the road and then charged back onto the road. There were baby buffalo too. frisky and large dog sized, short yellow hair.

cuuuute, hams. pictures. we want pictures.

fairy butler said...

buffalo are so so so awesome hams, that is quite a spotting!

I am very freaked out about this job interview ~ full time contract situation. it sounds perfect for me - learning some things but within my realm. step up from current hell. will lead to better things in future and more experience & knowledge. but, it freaks me out to commit to full time. i think it would be worth it though - in the long run - anyway. I still have to interview and get an offer before I go all crazy, right? I just hate my current situation so much and this is exactly (sort of) what I am looking for.

nerves. nerves. spastic thoughts. worry about never making relics, but money entices and thought of new and fun job entices. I could just become a nazi with my time and socialize a little less - work more in studio or something?

see i am jumping to spastic conclusions.

fairy butler said...

the prospect of actually earning money is just so amazing to think of.

sloth said...

you deserve money, FB. lots of nice money. It is tough to fit in a full-time job plus painting, but not impossible. and maybe the gig could be a stepping-stone type deal to something more humane, schedule-wise... are there benefits? paid time off? in this office staff people get tons of pto; makes slothy j-e-a-l-o-u-s.

Anonymous said...

When is your interview FB?
Actual money would be a big improvement. And maybe you would like it because it wouldn't be dull.

Anonymous said...

hi Slothy! PTO is a dream for sure.

fairy butler said...

no bennies as far as I understand and i don't even have an interview yet but it sounds like i will have one next week. the good thing is that it is scheduled to end at the end of the year. so i work my ass off and learn and then it ends and I decide what to do. It would be great paid learning experience. it is the direction i want to move in for earning money for the forseeable future - barring the relic sales. I am getting psyched again. please let them take me.

I have to cram a little this weekend though on advanced CSS. yikes.

You will get that job, FB, I just knows it. I can feel it in my bum.

good things are happening all around FB. I have all fingers and toes crossed for youse.

Anonymous said...

That was me, krixfort, being anonymous because the blee-og-itch witch won't let me leave my real name, which is krixfort. With a K.

Anonymous said...

FB!!!!! You will get it, I just know it! You will rock the new beige like no other. I am sending new robotic moves your way.

Anonymous said...

good luck fb!!!

Anonymous said...

FB. they would be foolish not to hire you!
